09 Jun Nourish Yourself This Winter
Hi there, it’s Peter, tonika health’s acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner. I hope you’re all well and warm during this chilly weather. As we head into the coldest part of the year, I want to chat to you about how you can best nourish yourself, including your immunity, during this time. There are many things you can do to support yourself and make the most of the season.
I’ve been thinking about the best sort of resource I could provide to help you with this, and I’ve decided that this blog post sums it up perfectly. It’s a post in reference to autumn. The tips explored, however, refer to the immune system and other protective systems of the body. With the current situation, these systems are important for everyone, no matter what season we’re in and especially during these colder winter months.
You can read the full post here. Some of the tips you may be familiar with. Others, however, are quite unique and have worked for me and my clients time and time again. Here’s a little sneak peak as to what they include:
- Letting go (literally and metaphorically)
- Bowel health
- Breath awareness
- Creative ways to keep warm
- Sinus and skin support
- Massaging a little something called your ‘immune zone’
